The Region that performs 

In York Region, the proof of performance is visible in several ways:

• in maintaining a AAA credit rating consistently
• in regularly winning awards for planning
• in such major initiatives as the Region's Transportation Master Plan, the Human Services Strategy and the Housing Supply Strategy, York stands out for the quality of its performance.

The best people to ask about performance are the people we serve. In our most recent Environics poll, overall satisfaction with York Regional government was pegged at 78%. This is good but we've got plans to do better.

The 2011 MPMP results are part of our commitment to excellence, but only a part.

The Corporation has its own Framework for Excellence, a model for building performance that integrates our strategic vision, annual budgets and individual workplans.
