The Corporate Strategy department supports the development, coordination, and implementation of various corporate initiatives within the principles of the Corporate Management Framework.
Services
The major areas of focus include strategic planning support and advice, program and business process reviews, monitor and evaluate the Region's progress on stated goals and champion continuous improvement and quality initiatives.

Corporate Policy
Corporate policy is responsible for providing corporate coordination of Regional Policy. The program area leads intergovernmental policy development, Senior Management working groups, corporate policy strategic initiatives and provides corporate governance review analysis and advice on key service delivery initiatives.
Corporate Air Quality Strategy
In June 2008, York Regional Council approved the Corporate Air Quality Strategy. This Strategy outlines a series of Region-wide initiatives to improve air quality and addresses all Regional activities and operations that contribute to air pollution. It also sets goals for reducing the Region's environmental impact
