Wage Subsidy Schedule / Wage Improvement Schedule
The Wage Subsidy / Wage Improvement Schedules of the Consolidated Agreement enable this funding to be paid to child care operators. Over a number of years, the Province introduced several funding initiatives in response to low levels of compensation in the child care field and to address issues of affordability and stability in the service sector. Wage subsidy is provided to eligible operators and is distributed in accordance with provincial legislation and York Region policy.
Child care operators are responsible for the distribution of wage subsidy funds to staff and are required to meet reporting requirements concerning the use of those funds.
