AOK Early Child Development and Parenting Programs
Ontario Early Years Centres

Free AOK Early Child Development and Parenting Programs AOK Logo - All Our Kids: They can thrive by the age of five.

These programs provide families with information, programs and links to services for children aged birth to six years old. AOK Early Child Development and Parenting Programs are operated by community agencies and funded by York Region.

Programs Serve:

  • All parents, grandparents, care providers and children birth to six years of age.
  • Pregnant and parenting teens.
  • Families who want an opportunity to get involved with other adults with young children.
  • Care providers who want to enhance their child development skills and resources.
  • Stay-at-home and working parents of young children.
  • Families looking for information on finding and choosing quality child care services.
  • Individuals with young children who want a break within a warm, positive environment.

Programs Offer:

  • Fun activities and opportunities etc.
  • Opportunities for children to play with other children.
  • Professional resources and support.
  • Peer support for adults caring for children.
  • Home Child Care provider support, and information to help enhance their programs.
  • Information on licensed and unlicensed child care options.
  • Tools to use when assessing child care programs.
  • Workshops for parents and care providers.
  • Information and referrals to community agencies and services.
  • Professional trained child care staff.
  • Information and referrals to other community agencies and services.
  • A warm, positive learning environment for parents and/or caregivers with young children.
  • All programs are provided free of charge.

Ontario Early Years Centres:

  • Provide information, free programs and links to services for parents and caregivers and their children aged birth to six-years-old.
  • Are a place where parents and caregivers can get answers to questions and information about programs and services that are available for young children.
  • Provide families with an opportunity to talk to early years professionals, as well as other parents and caregivers in the community.
  • Are operated by community agencies and funded by The Province of Ontario.
