Housing York communities are home to 3,680 people from all walks of life. Properties include both rent-geared-to-income units and market rent units. Rent-geared-to-income is rent adjusted to income level, approximately 30 percent of the gross household income. Market rent is the full amount charged to households.
Housing York is more than a landlord. Community partnerships provide many services and programs for tenants including summer camps for children and youth, support for seniors, social events, on-site recreation rooms, and access to a social worker.
Accessibility
A number of Housing York housing units have been modified to accommodate people with physical disabilities. Modifications can include wheelchair/scooter accessibility, the layout of rooms, and physical features such as doorknobs and windows.
