Housing York and tenants work together to build strong communities. Housing York has 32 rental properties and an emergency shelter. Each property is managed with high standards to ensure tenant satisfaction and a quality home.

Property Notices

The improvements and repairs planned for each community, as well as events and other updates, are posted as Property Notices on the website and on the information board in the building's public space.

Requests for Maintenance

Housing York Property Managers and Superintendents respond to every request for maintenance.
We work as a team to develop maintenance response times that are consistent in all Housing York properties.

Every building has:
  • Maintenance request forms and drop-off boxes in easy-to-locate, central areas.
  • Telephone numbers and staff contact information posted on bulletin boards.
  • "While you were out" notices to confirm your work request has been done.
  • Resident service reply cards to submit your feedback.

Some work may require parts to be ordered or the service of a contractor. This work can take more time to complete.

It is necessary for tenants to complete the renewal form each year to renew rent subsidy.

School Attendance Form  To be completed by School/Educational Institution for students aged 16 and older.
