Purchase of Service Request for New Agency Development Fund (NADF)
 
The Regional Municipality of York is inviting new not for profit community service agencies (those in existence for five years or less at the time of application) to submit proposals.

Funding may be available for community service projects with clear and measurable outcomes that fall under one or more of the community priorities as identified in the Purchase of Service Request.

All awards for funding are subject to the approval of the Commissioner of Community and Health Services. Successful projects will be funded through the New Agency Development Fund.

An Information Meeting on this Purchase of Service Request will be held on Tuesday, February 2 starting promptly at 2:00 p.m. and ending at 4 p.m. in the Committee Room B at the York Region Administrative Centre, 17250 Yonge Street, Newmarket. Pre-registration is not required, however interested agencies or groups are strongly encouraged to attend the information meeting. 
 
Closing date: Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 1 p.m. sharp. Late submissions will not be accepted.
 
Eligibility Criteria

Newly formed (five years or less at the time of application, whether incorporated or not), not-for-profit or charitable agencies that deliver social services to York Region residents and meet eligibility criteria may be considered for NADF support. Projects that support the Region's health and community service priorities and mandates and addresses one or more priority areas of:

  • Homelessness programs and services,
  • Family and children strengthening programs and services,
  • Employment supports or
  • Public health initiatives that compliment regional public health programs
The Region will also provide non-financial support to assist in developing the organizational structure of these agencies. 

Interested agencies are invited to apply for funding through a Purchase of Service Request.
 
How to obtain a copy of the Purchase of Service Request

Interested agencies can obtain the NADF Purchase of Service Request package (PSR-10-03) by picking up a copy at the following location:

York Region Administrative Centre, Supplies and Services Branch, First Floor, 17250 Yonge Street, Town of Newmarket
 
How to Submit a Proposal

  1. Complete the Purchase of Service Request package (PSR-10-03). Schedule templates are included in the package. To be considered, all proposals must be fully completed and include all schedules and required attachments

  2. Submit your printed proposal by mail, or hand deliver to:
    Director, Supplies and Services
    The Regional Municipality of York
    17250 Yonge Street, 1st Floor
    Newmarket, ON L3Y 6Z1
Completed proposals must be received no later than Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 1 p.m.
Submissions will not be accepted after 1 p.m.
