Listeriosis

York Region Community and Health Services reminds residents to take the necessary safety precautions during the current recall of certain ready-to-eat deli meat products.

These products have been widely disseminated across the province, and may have been supplied to various retail establishments, where deli meats are normally sold.

Residents are encouraged to check the ready-to-eat deli meat products in their homes. If you are not sure about the origin of the product, you are advised to contact the retail establishment where it was purchased and seek clarification. If they are listed on the recall list, the product should not be consumed and discarded immediately.

Residents are also reminded to check the recall list for up-to-date information.
