Major Projects 2004-2008Over the past 4 years, the Geomatics Branch has contributed significantly to major projects in all departments. For example, Geomatics products and applications have been fundamental to the following projects:
• Oak Ridges Conformity Exercise (Planning Department)
• West Nile Virus Surveillance Program (Health Department) • GPS asset collection for transit stops (Transit) • GPS asset collection for street trees and street lights (Forestry and Heritage Resources, and Road Operations) • Environmental indicators calculated for State of the Environment Report (Health & Planning Departments) • Regional Emergency Operations Centre and Pandemic Preparedness (Emergency Operations) • Subway Planning (Planning, VIVA and Finance) • Scheduled updates for departmental applications (Trapeze transit scheduling, Transview wheeltrans scheduling , Grey Island AVL, Marvylis Ambulance Placement, Versatech Police Dispatch, etc.) |
