York Region Official Plan

The Region of York Official Plan - 2010 was approved by the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing on September 7, 2010 and appealed to the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB). Since then, the York Region Official Plan - 2010 has been partially approved by the OMB and specific policies of the York Region Official Plan - 1994 have been repealed; effective the following dates: July 11, 2012, September 21, 2012, November 19, 2012, January 10, 2013 and January 14, 2013.

The most recent Office Consolidation of York Region's Official Plan is the "York Region Official Plan Package - January 14, 2013". As the OMB process continues, updated versions of this package will be uploaded to this page.

The York Region Official Plan Package - January 14, 2013 includes the OMB Orders that have partially approved the York Region Official Plan - 2010; as well as annotated copies of the 2010 and 1994 Official Plans that denote the status of policies/maps.

Please note that the annotated copies of the 2010 and 1994 Official Plans are for information purposes only. The York Region Official Plan – 2010 Decision Page from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs, the Ontario Municipal Board exhibits and decisions, and the approved copy of each Regional Plan Amendment may be required for legal purposes.
