Mast arm signs have the following safety advantages: Large letters and higher reflectivity allow for long distance visibility Placement above the road eliminates the confusion caused by the clutter of other signs The consistent placement of the signs improves driver expectation and allows the driver to keep the traffic signals in sight

Can you Place these Signs at Unsignalized Intersections?

The Region installs mast arm signs at signalized intersections only. At unsignalized intersections advance street name signs are used when two Regional roads intersect.
