To be eligible for a summer student position you MUST be currently enrolled in full-time studies at community college/university/high school and returning to full-time studies in the following school term (the only exceptions to this rule are: Public Health Inspection Students or final term co-ops)
You must be legally entitled to work in Canada as a student (a Social Insurance Number will be required at the time of hire)
If you are required to drive a vehicle (Regional or your own) as part of your position, you must submit a current Driver's Abstract free of any demerit points (zero)
Returning students are not required to submit an online application
An information package was e-mailed to all 2011 Summer Students late November 2011
This package includes:
a letter outlining the "returning student" application process
a mandatory Questionnaire and Employment of Relatives Declaration Form
For your application to be considered, returning students must submit their application and all documents to H.R. Services by the deadline indicated in the package
Consideration for employment will be determined by both operational needs and a successful performance appraisal from 2011
Returning students will not be required to attend an interview unless you are being considered for a different position
