CLASS ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT

DAVIS DRIVE – YONGE STREET TO HIGHWAY 404

TOWN OF NEWMARKET

 

The Regional Municipality of York (York Region) is undertaking a Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Study for Davis Drive, from Yonge Street to Highway 404, to consider opportunities for potential operational and safety improvements within the corridor.  The consulting firm of NCE Limited is undertaking the study on behalf of York Region.

 

Davis Drive, within the Study Area, has been identified for potential improvements as part of the Region's 10 Year Roads Construction Program.

  

The study is being undertaken under Schedule 'C' of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (June 2000) under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act. 

 

Opportunities to provide input to the planning and design process will be available throughout the project.  A Public Consultation Centre (PCC) #1 was held on Monday, June 26, 2006 at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Newmarket. Click here to view Presentation Boards displayed at PCC #1.
