The following table details the existing York Region Transit (YRT) fare structure with the approved fare increases, effective January 1, 2003.

In 2002, York Region Transit has successfully:

Kept fares in line with other GTA transit services, including an under $2.00 adult ticket fare

Implemented $5.2 million in service improvements

Added 31 new ticket agents (88 total)

Remained on-track for a 10% increase in ridership
