York Region conducting annual business and employment survey

The Regional Municipality of York, in co-operation with its local municipalities, will be visiting businesses across the Region to conduct its annual business and employment survey. The survey, which includes verifying basic information about each business, is expected to take approximately five minutes per firm.

The information collected will be used to monitor local economic trends, update the local municipal and Regional business directories, analyze and market local business sectors, create business attraction and retention strategies, forecast infrastructure and hard services requirements and transit service planning.

Businesses may also complete the survey online by visiting www.region.york.on.ca/nr/Busdir/survey/survey_form.asp

For more information about the annual business and employment survey, contact Lee Marsden, Survey Co-ordinator at 1-877-464-9675, Ext. 1537.
