York Region Health Connection hotline scales back hours of operation



NEWMARKET – Due to the steady decline in SARS-related calls, the York Region Health Services Health Connection telephone hotline will be scaling down its hours of operation.

Health Connection will now operate Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and weekends from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., until further notice.

Health Connection had expanded its hours to respond to the increase in calls during the height of the SARS health emergency, with 22,499 calls received since the health emergency was declared March 26th, 2003.
