Mayor & Senior Officer Willing VictimsMayor Grossi and Superintendent Girvan will play the roles of auto accident victims at the Georgina Emergency Preparedness Fair on May 5 at the WHEN: Wednesday, May 5, 2004 - WHERE: PHOTO OPPORTUNITY: followed by Auto Extrication Demonstration BACKGROUND: A joint effort between the Town of Georgina, the Georgina Fire Department and the Regional Municipality of York, the Georgina Emergency Preparedness Fair is being held to mark Emergency Preparedness Week (May 2 – 8, 2004), an annual national event intended to increase awareness about individual preparedness. Approximately 800 elementary school students are slated to visit the Fair, and the auto extrication demonstration will be one of many highlights of the day-long event.
