York Region seeking feedback on 2005 accessibility initiatives


As part of the development of its 2005 Accessibility Plan, the Regional Municipality of York is holding a public consultation session on December 9th, 6:15 to 8:15 p.m., in the Seminar Room of the York Region Administrative Centre, located at 17250 Yonge Street in Newmarket. 
 
York Region’s annual Accessibility Plan includes initiatives to identify, remove and prevent barriers for people with disabilities who use programs and services offered by The Regional Municipality of York. 
 
To RSVP your attendance at the December 9th public consultation session or for more information, call (905) 830-4444, Ext. 2083 or toll free at 1-877-464-9675, Ext. 2083. 
 
For registered users of York Region Transit's Mobility Plus Service, free transportation will be provided to and from the session. This free service is subject to availability and must be booked by 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday December 7, 2004 by calling (905) 762 2112 or toll free at
1-866-744-1119.
 
To provide input and feedback online after December 9th, visit www.york.ca and click on “What’s New”.   The deadline for comments is December 17th.
