York Region unveils Oak Ridges Moraine Signs"The Oak Ridges Moraine is perhaps our most recognized natural heritage feature," said Regional Chair and CEO Bill Fisch. "These signs will alert residents and visitors to the location of the moraine, and hopefully illustrate just how significant a feature it is on the York Region landscape." The signs are 4' x 6'in size, with "Entering the Oak Ridges Moraine" emblazoned on them. The signs also have a Web address for passing motorists to find more information: www.ormf.com "It's important to emphasize the benefits that the moraine gives to the residents of York Region; and this starts with simple recognition," said Michael Scott, Executive Director of the Oak Ridges Moraine Foundation.
