Fun day at York Regional Forest for children with asthmaNEWMARKET – Join the Asthma Coalition of York Region for a fun-filled day of outdoor activities specially planned for children with asthma and their families.
What: Halloween in the Forest Asthma Active Fun Day
When: Saturday, October 23, 2004 Time: 9:00am to 12:30pm Where: York Regional Forest Headquarters, Hollidge Tract (east side of Hwy 48 between Vivian and Aurora Roads) The day includes:
• Guided walk with a forest educator • York Region Emergency Medical Services display • Children's activities • Face painting • Health displays • Refreshments • Loot bags and prizes Remember to dress appropriately. This event will occur rain or shine and it is cooler in the forest. Children under eighteen years of age must be accompanied by a supervisory adult.
There is no cost to participate in this program. Registration is limited. Please call 905-940-1787 Ext. 4259 by October 18th.
Halloween in the Forest Asthma Active Fun Day has been organized by the Asthma Coalition of York Region: York Region Health Services, The Lung Association, Markham Stouffville Hospital, Southlake Regional Health Centre and York Central Hospital, with York Region Emergency Medical Services and Transportation and Works Natural Heritage and Forestry Services.
