York Regional Forest hosts Fall FestivalNEWMARKET - Come and enjoy an autumn day at the York Regional Forest on a horse drawn wagon ride. Along the way, discover why fallen leaves and rotting tree stumps are a welcome addition to the forest ecosystem. Get the dirt on forest soil when you learn about the astounding contribution of fungi and mushrooms to a healthy forest soil ecosystem. Investigate why "cavities" are encouraged in a healthy forest.
