York Region urges caution at intersections as Provincial power reduction creates traffic signal outagesSignal problems come amidst Province's five per cent electricity rollback
When encountering flashing red and amber lights, drivers are required by law to treat the intersection as a four-way stop. The Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) has advised a power reduction by 5% across the Province. This power reduction may cause intermittent flashing of traffic signals at York Region intersections.
