York Region’s 2004 Annual Water Report shows continued excellent water quality

NEWMARKET – York Region Transit (YRT) ridership numbers for January 2005 have increased by more than 14 per cent from the same period in 2004.  YRT carried more than 1.2 million riders for the first month of 2005, compared to just over one million passengers in January 2004.

 

January’s increase continues the upward trend from 2004, where YRT ridership was up by over 14 per cent.  Overall ridership for YRT in 2004 was 13.8 million passengers.

 

YRT has seen ridership increases of more than 10 per cent each year since the service was formed in 2001.
