York Region celebrates National Public Works Week with Family Fun Day at Community Safety Village

 
NEWMARKET – As part of National Public Works Week (May 15-21), York Region will be hosting a Family Fun Day at the Community Safety Village at Bruce's Mill Conservation Authority in Whitchurch-Stouffville.
 
This fun-filled event will showcase a number of Transportation and Works related activities including construction equipment vehicles, interactive displays, free giveaways, light refreshments and tours of the safety village.
 
WHEN: Sunday, May 15th
  1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
 
WHERE: Community Safety Village of York Region
  Bruce's Mill Conservation Area
  3291 Stouffville Side Road, Stouffville (East of Highway 404)
 
BACKGROUND: 
 
• National Public Works Week is an annual celebration to raise public awareness of the work and commitment of public works professionals to their communities.
• York Region will be hosting student tours of works facilities as well as having displays at the Administrative Centre in Newmarket throughout the week.
