Re-use event in the City of VaughanNEWMARKET – As part of National Public Works Week (NPWW), York Region has partnered with the City of Vaughan in hosting a re-use event. When: Saturday, May 14th
10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (Rain or Shine) Where: Joint Operations Centre
North East Employee Parking Lot 2800 Rutherford Road (Access off Melville Ave.) The event will feature:
• A re-use drop-off operated by York Region and Goodwill Industries, for gently used clothing, shoes, books, toys, small household items and working electronics
• A free mulch giveaway by the City of Vaughan Parks Department
• A backyard composter sale by the City of Vaughan Public Works Department, for $17 including taxes (maximum of two per household)
• A blue box sale by the City of Vaughan Public Works Department, for $5 each. Residents may also bring in their damaged blue box for a replacement
• Information booths
