Veterans to receive free ride on YRT and Viva buses on Remembrance Day

NEWMARKET – To mark Remembrance Day, York Region Transit (YRT) will be offering free rides on all YRT and Viva buses to veterans and one accompanying companion on Friday, November 11th.

 

Veterans should identify themselves to bus drivers by wearing items such as medals or blazers or carry a military identification card or service papers.
 
Travel will be free all day across the YRT and Viva system.
