Trick or whistle, York Region Emergency Medical Services helps keep children safe this Halloween

NEWMARKET – Children are four times more likely to be injured on Halloween than any other day of the year.  To help keep children safer this Halloween, paramedics from York Region Emergency Medical Services (EMS) will be distributing bright yellow whistles and bracelets to "trick or treaters" across York Region. These highly visible "treats" will be distributed to parents and children throughout the day and into the evening.

The media is invited to attend one of the many distribution locations:

WHEN: Monday, October 31st - 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
WHERE: St. Paul's Catholic School, 140 William Roe Blvd., Newmarket
