Rabies is a preventable viral disease most often transmitted through the bite or scratch of a rabid animal. Without medical intervention prior to the appearance of symptoms it can be fatal. Vaccinations for your pets will not only protect them from acquiring rabies but will also help protect your family if your pet is bitten by a rabid animal. Pet owners have a legal requirement to vaccinate dogs and cats over the age of three months.
