York Region Paramedics make childrens wishes come trueNEWMARKET – York Region Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is pleased to be hosting a celebration where York Medics for Kids will present a cheque for $18,000 to The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada. This large monetary donation will be used to help grant wishes to children, age 3-17, who are suffering with high-risk life-threatening illnesses. Facilitated through York Medics for Kids, contributions were a result of a very successful "2005 Christmas Bash." Money raised from this event included ticket sales and a successful silent auction.

and York Medics for Kids organizers Since it's inception in 1983, The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada has granted 11,412 wishes to deserving children. Among the most popular wish requests are travel, entertainment centres, computer systems and meeting celebrities.
