Bowling for Integrity Youth are invited to come together and learn the truth about the tobacco industry

 
NEWMARKET- York Region’s Youth Action Alliance Program (YAA), York (YEL!T), Youth Exposing Lies !n Tobacco invite their peers to come together and learn the truth about the tobacco industry.
 
Youth are invited to learn how the tobacco industry targets youth and encourages tobacco use through movies, television, music and print media.  This event also gives participants an opportunity to socialize with their friends. Activities will include bowling, pool and darts and dancing.
 
A special component of this evening event is the Tobacco Hall of Shame.  The Tobacco Hall of Shame is an interactive demonstration illustrating how the tobacco industry has evolved over the years.
 
Free pizza and public transportation to and from the event will be provided.
 
WHAT:  Unlimited glow in the dark bowling, pool, darts and dancing for integrity
 
WHEN:  Friday, November 24, 2006
             7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

York Region’s Youth Action Alliance Program (York YEL!T) aims to prevent and reduce smoking in youth by directly engaging them as key participants in the development and execution of area campaigns.  Youth Action Alliances, funded by Smoke-Free Ontario, are meant to be the cornerstone of community-based youth tobacco control programs in Ontario.
