Breastfeeding Challenge 2006NEWMARKET – The Breastfeeding Coalition of York Region is participating in the Breastfeeding Challenge 2006. This challenge is an international event held annually during World Breastfeeding Week, October 1-7, 2006. The goal of the event is to record the most mothers and babies breastfeeding at one location. Cities across the world take part in this friendly competition. Its goal is to highlight the importance and raise awareness about the health-related benefits breastfeeding provides.
Immediately following the challenge, residents are also invited to participate in the LaLeche League’s Annual Walk for Breastfeeding.
