Planning for Tomorrow reviews growth management optionsThe public is invited to open houses in Vaughan and Markham next Tuesday and ThursdayNEWMARKET – The first two of six Planning for Tomorrow open houses slated for early May across York Region will be held next Tuesday, May 1st and Thursday, May 3rd. Members of the public are invited to attend these sessions and learn about growth issues in York Region, discuss them and provide feedback.
Six open house meetings across York Region in early May will provide opportunities for the public to participate in the Planning for Tomorrow discussions.

City of Vaughan, Council Chambers Tuesday, May 1st Town of Markham, Canada Room Thursday, May 3rd Town of Richmond Hill, OMB Hearing Room Tuesday, May 8th Town of Aurora, Council Chambers Wednesday, May 9th Town of East Gwillimbury, Council Chambers Thursday, May 10th Town of Newmarket, Council Chambers Tuesday, May 15th Time and format for these events 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. - Open house 7:00 to 7:30 p.m. - Presentation 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. - Facilitated Discussion Input received at the Planning for Tomorrow open houses will help Regional Council make decisions on managing growth. Input will also be used to update the infrastructure master plans for water, wastewater, transit and transportation.
