King Road closed from Dufferin Street to Keele Street

York Regional Police close intersection following single-vehicle accident
NEWMARKET – York Region motorists driving in the vicinity of King City are advised to make alternate travel plans to avoid King Road from Dufferin Street to Banner Lane (near Keele Street), following a single-vehicle accident earlier this afternoon.

York Regional Police have closed the road off to investigate the accident, which includes two downed hydro poles and power lines.

Crews from Hydro One are currently on-site making repairs and have advised that the work will likely progress through the evening rush hour period.

York Regional Police will be monitoring the road closure and signage is in place to divert motorists.
