Annual Breastfeeding Challenge this Saturday September 29th

NEWMARKET – October 1st to 7th is World Breastfeeding Week, an international event that celebrates the importance of breastfeeding.

 

York Region Health Services and the York Region Breastfeeding Coalition, in partnership with the local hospitals and La Leche League Canada groups, will mark World Breastfeeding Week and support breastfeeding in public by hosting a Breastfeeding Challenge.

 

The Breastfeeding Challenge is a friendly international competition that aims to have as many babies as possible breastfeeding in one location at the same time. 

 

Members of the media are invited to attend this year’s challenge and celebrate the commitment York Region moms have made to giving their baby the best possible start in life.

 

WHEN: Saturday, September 29th
  10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
