Bathurst Street closed from Mulock Drive to Davis Drive West

NEWMARKET – York Regional Police have closed Bathurst Street from Mulock Drive to Davis Drive West (formerly Highway 9) due to a serious motor vehicle accident earlier this afternoon.

 

Staff from York Region's Roads Transportation branch are on scene, installing barricades to keep motorists off this section of Bathurst Street as York Regional Police continue to investigate the accident.  Barricades are being installed at the intersections of:

 

• Bathurst Street and Mulock Drive
• Bathurst Street and Clear Meadow Boulevard
• Bathurst Street and Keith Avenue
• Bathurst Street and Sykes Road
• Bathurst Street and Davis Drive West

 

Motorists travelling north or south through the area are advised to detour to Dufferin Street or Yonge Street.
