York Region offers prenatal classes to teens and single mothersNEWMARKET – The Regional Municipality of York Public Health branch invites pregnant teens and single mothers to join an informational eight-week prenatal course. This supportive group provides an opportunity to share ideas, make new friends and learn more about pregnancy. Sessions are facilitated by public health nurses and address topics including healthy eating for mothers and babies, coping with pregnancy and labour, breastfeeding and preparing for parenthood. Labour coaches are also welcome to attend.
Sessions are offered free of charge to York Region residents and each weekly session includes a light nutritious lunch.
When: Eight-week session beginning Monday, January 12th to Monday, March 2nd

361 Eagle Street Town of Newmarket Prenatal classes are an important part of prenatal care. They help parents-to-be understand what is happening during the pregnancy and prepare for what is to come. York Region Public Health offers prenatal classes to all York Region expectant parents.
