Traffic accident at intersection of Highway 7 and Highway 50 to affect rush hour traffic

 

NEWMARKET – An overturned tractor trailer has blocked all eastbound lanes at the intersection of Highway 7 and Highway 50.  York Regional Police and Peel Regional Police have advised that the closure will stay in effect for approximately two to three hours as crews work to remove the vehicle from the roadway.

 

Motorists are asked to avoid the intersection during tonight’s rush hour as traffic is moving very slowly. 

 

Police are currently detouring motorists to nearby Huntington Road until the eastbound lanes are clear.
