Road closure on Highway 7 this weekend in Town of Markham

Closure to facilitate GO Transit repairs between Main Street and Warden Avenue
NEWMARKET – The Regional Municipality of York will be closing Highway 7 between Main Street and Warden Avenue this weekend to facilitate railway track repairs for GO Transit.  As part of this project, York Region will also be repaving the surrounding roadway.
 
The closure will take place from 10 p.m. Friday, June 20th to 10 p.m. Sunday, June 22nd.
 
Motorists are advised to use 16th Avenue for east-west travel through the area for the duration of the closure.
 
York Region would like to thank motorists for their patience as this work is completed.
