Road closure and lane restrictions this weekend in Town of Newmarket

 

NEWMARKET – The Regional Municipality of York has planned road closures and lane restrictions for the following routes in the Town of Newmarket:

 

 

Davis Drive will be closed between Superior Street and Charles Street this weekend from 10 p.m. on Friday, May 23rd until 10 p.m. Sunday, May 25th.

 

The closure is to accommodate construction by GO Transit at the railway tracks at Davis Drive beside the Tannery Mall.

 

Motorists travelling east or west through this area are advised to detour to Green Lane or Mulock Drive.

 

Lane  Restrictions:
 
Traffic along the following streets will be reduced to one lane on Sunday, May 25th for the Easter Seals Run/Walkathon, beginning at Upper Canada Mall (17600 Yonge Street) at 7 a.m.:

 

• Eagle Street to Bathurst Street
• Bathurst Street to Green Lane
• Green Lane to Yonge Street
• Yonge Street to northern entrance of Upper Canada Mall
