Transportation Master Plan public consultationPublic meetings enable residents to learn more and have a sayNEWMARKET – York Region residents are invited to participate in public consultations as part of the update to The Regional Municipality of York's Transportation Master Plan. The public consultations feature an open house followed by a town hall meeting and public discussion.
The update to the Transportation Master Plan is necessary to incorporate significant increases in the Government of Ontario's forecasts of York Region's population, employment and the number of households in addition to changes in land use planning and environmental policies.
The remaining meetings this month are scheduled as follows:
Three meetings were held earlier this month in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville on November 12th, the City of Vaughan on November 18th and in the Town of Markham on November 20th.
