Road closures on Highway 7 and on Reesor Road in the Town of Markham to extend through evening rush hour

 
York Regional Police investigation into motor vehicle collision will keep roadways closed
NEWMARKET – York Regional Police have closed Highway 7 from Donald Cousens Parkway to the York-Durham Line and Reesor Road from 16th Avenue to 14th Avenue in the Town of Markham due to a serious motor vehicle collision.
 
York Regional Police continue their investigation at the scene; however the road closures will likely remain in effect throughout the evening rush hour.
 
York Region staff have placed signs on the Regional portion of Highway 7 near Don Cousens Parkway to advise motorists of the situation. 
 
Commuters are asked to avoid the area until the roadway is re-opened at the completion of the investigation.
 
York Region thanks motorists for their patience as this accident investigation continues.
