York Region H1N1 community flu immunization clinics open this weekend and available to everyoneNEWMARKET – The Regional Municipality of York reminds residents that the York Region H1N1 community flu immunization clinics are open this weekend and that the H1N1 flu vaccine is available to everyone over the age of six months. “In order to prevent the spread of the H1N1 flu virus, everyone is being encouraged to get the vaccine,” said Dr. Karim Kurji, York Region’s Medical Officer of Health. “Vaccination is our most powerful tool in fighting this virus. Our goal is to make the vaccine available to everyone who wants it.”
York Region Community and Health Services have opened the following five community immunization clinics where this vaccine is being offered:
In addition to these community clinics, many physicians also have the vaccine and are offering it to their patients.
