October 30, 2009 Town of Newmarket H1N1 flu immunization clinic at capacity

York Region clinics currently experiencing long lineups and wait times

NEWMARKET …quot; Effective immediately, Friday, October 30th, the H1N1 flu immunization clinic operating at Ray Twinney Recreation Complex in the Town of Newmarket is at capacity. People currently in line will be immunized.

Each clinic has a total daily maximum capacity of 1,200 patients.

People in high risk groups are welcome to attend either clinic this weekend, Saturday and Sunday.

Attendance at the two current H1N1 flu clinics operating since October 28th has been extremely high. People are asked to please be patient, courteous to others and be prepared for a long wait.

York Region is opening three additional clinics starting on Monday, November 2nd. Please see the clinic schedule below for clinic hours and locations. Map locations and driving directions for each are available by clicking here.

Clinic dates and locations will be added and may be subject to change. Before going to a clinic, residents are encouraged to confirm clinic locations, dates and times on the website www.york.ca/H1N1 or by calling York Region Health Connection at 1-800-361-5653.
