City of Vaughan H1N1 flu immunization clinic at capacityYork Region clinics currently experiencing long lineups and wait timesNEWMARKET – Effective immediately, Saturday, October 31st, the H1N1 flu immunization clinic operating at the Vellore Village Community Centre in the City of Vaughan is at capacity. People currently in line will be immunized.
York Region’s two existing clinics in Vaughan and at the Ray Twinney Recreation Complex in the Town of Newmarket are open today and tomorrow. Three additional clinics – one each in Markham, Richmond Hill and Georgina – will open on Monday, November 2nd.
At all clinics, the H1N1 flu vaccine will only be available to those people in the first priority group who need the vaccine the most.
Attendance at the flu clinics operating since October 28th has been extremely high; people are asked to please be patient, courteous to others and be prepared for a long wait.
