The Regional Municipality of York celebrates spring in York Regional ForestPublic invited for free events at Spring Forest Festival during Earth WeekNEWMARKET – As part of the global Earth Week celebrations and our Greening Strategy, The Regional Municipality of York is celebrating spring in the York Regional Forest with a host of free, family-friendly activities at the Spring Forest Festival.
Come enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides through the forest and take part in a forest hike. Plant a tree and learn about managing your own woodlot. Take a seedling home to plant.
WHEN: Saturday, April 24th
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Hikes from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. / Wagon rides every 20 minutes) WHERE: York Regional Forest
