Young girl becomes paramedic for a dayIn celebration of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week May 16th to 22ndNEWMARKET – York Region EMS paramedics will grant an important wish to a deserving child from the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada.
The 12-year-old wish recipient will become a paramedic for the day. She will be outfitted with her own uniform and will travel with York Region paramedics touring the various EMS stations and facilities across the Region.
She will also learn life saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), basic and advanced first aid techniques.
