Requesting an Interview / Covering Council and Events


York Region's Corporate Communications Division facilitates all media requests for interviews for the Regional Chair, the CAO, commissioners, directors, managers and senior staff. In addition, York Region's Corporate Communications Division also facilitates all media requests for information about Regional services and operations.

Covering Council and Committees

All Regional Council and Regional Committee meetings (with the exception of in-camera sessions) are open to the public and accredited media. There is a special seating area in the Council Chambers for accredited media. Media seating is also available in the committee and seminar rooms.
