The Regional Official Plan is the premier planning document for the Region. This Consolidation reflects the status of the Regional Official Plan as of November, 2005. This updated version of the Regional Official Plan includes all the changes made to the Plan and includes all referrals and deferrals to the Plan since the original consolidation was produced in June 1995.

Economic and Development Review - Year End and Mid-Year Reports

A semi-annual report of economic and development activity in the Regional Municipality of York. The report covers such topics as population change, the status of economic, building and planning activities, the property market, and the processing of development applications. The information in the report has been compiled from a wide variety of sources and includes the most current data available at the time of printing.

Employer Opinion Survey

Offers current perspectives of York Region's employers about their ability to attract and retain employees based on their employees' ability to find appropriate housing, transportation and transit within the Region.

Housing and Our Economy - Remaining Competitive

This study explores the relationship between resident labour force, employment, housing availability and affordability in York Region and the adjacent municipalities.

Employment and Industry 2003 is an annual report highlighting employment growth trends by industry sector and by area municipality. Vision 2026

Vision 2026 is York Region's strategic plan for the next quarter century. It provides guidance to Regional Council in making decisions and moving ahead to achieve the kind of community our citizens told us they wanted York Region to be in the year 2026.

Although York Region currently addresses many of these goals, we remain committed to continually improving our plans.  This also means measuring our progress, which we report on annually through our Towards the Vision: Indicators of Progress reports.
