The Solid Waste Management Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Solid Waste Management Committee with the following action:

1. 2008 Solid Waste Initiatives

 

Andy Campbell, Director, Solid Waste and Administration, described the recent achievements in 2007, and provided an overview of the current pressures and programs underway. Highlights of the 2008 activities and new initiatives were also noted. Received.

2. John Vidan, Director, Waste Management Policy Branch, Ministry of the Environment, November 22, 2007, regarding AMO's and AMRC's discussion paper on the Five Year Review of the Waste Diversion Act (WDA), of August 2007. Received.

 

 

The Solid Waste Management Committee adjourned at 10.58 a.m.
