The Transit Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by Transit Committee with the following action:

 

 

PRESENTATIONS

 

1. Rajeev Roy, Manager, Transit Management Systems, York Region Transit, demonstrating 'Web-based Trip Planning and IVR'.  Deferred to November 8, 2007 Transit Committee meeting.

 

2. Rajeev Roy, Manager, Transit Management Systems, York Region Transit, demonstrating a video regarding 'On-Board Security Cameras'.  Deferred to November 8, 2007 Transit Committee meeting.

 

3. Anne Marie Carroll, Assistant Manager, Operations, York Region Transit, regarding 'Operations and Maintenance Contractor Report Card'. Not presented.

 

4. Irene McNeil, Manager, Service Planning, York Region Transit, regarding 'Proposed Transportation Standards – AODA'.  Not presented.

 

 

OTHER BUSINESS

 

5. Monthly Ridership Statistics.  Received.

 

6. Chair Fisch submitted a communication from Patricia Jones, Sudbury, Ontario, dated October 3, 2007, regarding 'Service on York Mobility Plus while on visit to Stouffville, Ontario'.  Received and referred to staff.

 

 

PRIVATE SESSION

 

The committee resolved into private session at 12:36 p.m. to consider the following matter:

 

7.  Private Communication of the Regional Solicitor – 'Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act – Draft Transportation Standard' – Solicitor-Client Matter.

 

The Committee resumed in public session at 12:41 p.m. with no report out.

 

 

The Transit Committee adjourned at 12:42 p.m.
